‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ falls short of sky-high hopes

( CNN ) If hopes for “Star Wars: The Last-place Jedi” were inordinately( and perhaps unfairly) high-pitched, thank “The Force Awakens, ” which had a huge donut depression in the forms of Luke Skywalker at its core. Yet even with Luke integrated into the story, the movie feels like an important letdown, one that does far less than its predecessor to fuel ebullience for the next leg in the trilogy.
